Birds and Game Safari

Day 1: Arrival

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, meet & greet by your driver guide and proceed to accommodation about 7 minutes away.

Dinner and Overnight at The Secrets Guest House. 

Day 2: Bird Mabamba Swamp

Early breakfast and then with packed lunch proceed to Mabamba Wetlands where you will be driven in a motorised boat through the swamp, looking for the mighty Shoebill and other birds like Pink-backed Pelican, Long-tailed Cormorant, Squacco Heron, Yellow-billed Duck, Malachite Kingfisher, Long-toed Plover, Blue-headed Coucal, Blue-breasted Bee-eater and more, bird your way back to Entebbe looking out for birds like African open billed Stork, Grey Kestrel, African Green Pigeon, Great Blue Turaco, Ross’s Turaco, Red-headed Lovebird, Swifts, Sunbirds, Weavers, Finches among others. Overnight at  The Secrets Guest house.  

Day 3:Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

After breakfast, proceed for the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park crossing the Equator at Kayabwe with a Lunch stop. The park, which is named after Queen Elizabeth who visited it in 1954, is the second largest national park in Uganda, and ranks highest with respect to overall diversity, with a bird species list exceeding 600. The park has a mosaic of habitats from moist forest at Imaramagambo to wild savannah excellent for Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Hyenas, Ugandan Kobs, Baboons, Giant Hogs, and Warthog among others .

Dinner and Overnight at Enganzi Game Lodge. 

Day 4: Game Drive and Boat Ride

Breakfast and then head out for a Safari/birding in the park. Have our packed lunch on the boat and in the afternoon go for the boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, to see a variety of wildlife, hundreds of hippos, crocodile and bird life from a boat for two hours.  Look out for mammals like Uganda Kob, Bushbuck, Defassa Water buck, Buffaloes, Elephants, Warthog, when lucky a leopard, spotted Hyena and Lion among others. 

Dinner and Overnight at Enganzi Game Lodge. 

Day 5: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

An early departure to Murchison National park, with packed lunches. This will be a whole day drive and we will get there in the evening.

Dinner and Overnight at Kabalega Wilderness  Lodge.   

Day 6: Game Drive and Boat

The early game drive at Murchison falls park is famous for the big mammals, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions and more, the birdlife is amazing for both keen birders and normal tourists.

After lunch you will go on the Nile cruise to the bottom of the falls, cruising past hippos, crocodiles, birds and more beautiful sceneries. 

Dinner and Overnight at Kabalega Wilderness Lodge. 

Day 7:Top of the Falls and Departure

After breakfast with your lunch and luggage, start on the journey back to Entebbe via top of the falls; here the Nile waters force through a narrow gap, creating a magnificent view of the falls from the top arriving in the late afternoon and transfer to Entebbe International Airport  in time for your departure flight.
