He was knowledgeble about the roads, and had no difficulty when a bridge washout caused a detour in our route. Our vehicle had a muffler problem and Johnnie was able to find repair shops along the way so as not to delay our trip to Bwindi. As you know the roads are rough up in the mountains, but I never felt concerned about not getting to our destination. Johnnie was able to point out birds of the area, and was able to tell us about the animals we saw. As a retired teacher, I was interested in the government's progress towards improving the education system in Uganda. He was informed about many topics of my interest about Uganda.
